Sun City

Sun City is one of the most remarkable places in South Africa. It was originally conceived by and created By Sol Kerzner son of immigrant Russian Jews. When it was originally conceived, gambling was illegal in South Africa and Sun City which technically fell out outside of South African borders in then Bophuthatswana. It’s convenient location only 2 hours’ drive from Johannesburg turned it into a popular destination. In Post-Apartheid and after legalization of gambling Sun City continued to reinvent itself with new and exciting attractions, the Valley of waves and the Palace of The Lost City Hotel amongst others.
Sun City is a great location for those wishing to partake in Kosher Safari Tours as it borders the internationally famous Pilanesberg National Park. This Park in a malaria free zone is how to the Big 5 and thus popular for those kosher Safari Trips that are shorter stays.
Sun City is home to 4 international standard hotels as well as the exclusive Vacation Club, Self Catering resort. The total area of Sun City is more than 20km and it borders Pilanesberg National Park which comprises of 572 square km

Sun City also has a huge waterpark with amazing slides as well as a huge artificial beach and wave pool. There is also a full kiddie’s entertainment area as well as adult entertainment. For adults and kids there is a Segway tour of the park and along the route it is common to see game roaming freely on the Golf Courses. Sun City kosher safari is also home to the longest zip line in Africa and fastest in the world with speeds of up to 165km/h!
