The South African Safari Tour

This memorable tour includes four days on Safari in the Kruger Park, four days in Cape Town and two days in Johannesburg.

We will be staying in luxury accommodation throughout, and provide you with sumptuous Glatt-Kosher food throughout the tour. Our food is prepared by our seasoned chefs, under the Hechsher of the Johannesburg Beth Din and you will also eat at some of the gourmet restaurants in South Africa. We believe that good food makes a great tour, so meals, snacks and drinks are provided in traditional South African style and is always plentiful.

The first leg of the trip will be on Safari in the Kruger Park region. We will stay in a private game lodge where the accommodation is luxurious, and the interaction with nature is the best that South Africa has to offer. The Kruger Park is the largest game reserve in South Africa where animal roam freely in their natural habitat. Home to the Big 5 – Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo, Rhino and of course Lion, the Kruger is known for its boundless opportunities to spot these magnificent creatures. Game drives are done in open 4×4 vehicles which allow you to get up close and personal with the animals in the wild. Vehicles are driven by seasoned trackers and Safari guides who are in constant radio contact with other vehicles to find the best gaming viewing the park has to offer.

A typical day in the Kruger Park starts early as this is when daytime animals start to get active and nocturnal predators start settling down. We start with an early snack followed by a briefing by your Safari guide on the dos and don’ts in The Park. A drive through the park is then interspersed with stops at the various camps for snacks, meals and a chance to connect with the natural beauty of The Park. Our staff will meet you at the various stops with scrumptious Cook-Ups, snacks and meals to make this a truly memorable experience. Various other sightseeing activities are also on offer in the Kruger Park area, as well as some time out to relax and enjoy some authentic South African hospitality.

Cape Town is one of the most naturally beautiful cities in the world, and the second leg of our trip takes us to this beautiful city for Shabbos and three days of touring. We stay at The President Hotel in Sea Point, a luxurious hotel within walking distance of Shulls, and with beautiful views of the Sea. With so much to do, the tour will be a mix of the beautiful sights as well as the many activities on offer in the Mother City. And food….plentiful gourmet, South African style food.

We will take drives along picturesque routes including the stunning Chapmans Peak and The Winelands, see Kalk Bay, Hout Bay and The Penguins at The Boulders Beach. We will take the cableway up Table Mountain for its breath-taking views, and for the more energetic, an early morning hike up Lions Head will show you Cape Town in all its majestic glory. Activities include an electric scooter tour of the promenade, a sunset cruise from the Waterfront, and for the more daring a tandem paraglide off signal hill or a helicopter flip over Cape Town. For the shoppers, there will be ample opportunity to browse around the V&A Waterfront as well as various markets for curios and art.
Then it’s back to Johannesburg for a final two days of unwinding, enjoying the delicious eateries, some shopping and touring. An visit to the Apartheid Museum and Soweto Township is on offer, and for those who still haven’t gotten their fill of South Africa’s game, a trip to the Lion Park, where you can see these amazing animals up-close, an Elephant Experience, as well as some curio shopping and delicious South African cuisine.

Your comfort and enjoyment is our prerogative – we look forward to having you on our tour !
