The Wine Route

Based just 30 minutes from Cape Town is the celebrated winelands which include Stellenbosch, Paarl, Wellington and Franschhoek.. They are all  famous for their internationally acclaimed wineries, and some of the most famous in the world.

There are currently some 560 wineries and 4 400 primary producers of vineyards in the Cape, divided by the Wine of Origin Scheme into 4 main regions: The Breede River Valley, The Little Karoo, Coastal and Olifants River.

There are also tow kosher wineries, these are Kleine Draken and Backsburg.

For those absolute wine lovers there is also route 62, the longest wine route in the world, covering 860km (530 Miles)
